When the output flow of the hydraulic pump is too large, the unloading valve can return the excess hydraulic oil to the tank to avoid overload damage to the hydraulic pump; when the hydraulic cylinder is overloaded, the unloading valve will open to release the overload pressure and protect the hydraulic cylinder; in addition, when the hydraulic system is not used for a long time, the unloading valve will automatically open to maintain system pressure balance and reduce energy loss. ‌
‌The working principle of the unloading valve is to use adjustable spring pressure and sealed ball valve to control the pressure in the system. ‌ When the pressure in the system reaches the set value, the ball valve opens to release pressure to the tank. This design makes the unloading valve one of the commonly used safety valves in hydraulic systems.
